Countryman
Grooved Oak Doors
Sarah Beeny TV Feature

This newbuild farmhouse style detached home is set in the picturesque Surrey countryside. Interestingly, it also featured on national TV, Sarah Beeny’s ‘Double Your House For Half The Money’. The family desired to convert their average home into a New-England design dream so the property specialist did just that, with Doorsan’s Countryman Oak Doors in American White Oak.

Throughout the build, there’s a traditional feel combined with open-plan, modern living. In the garden, there’s even a children's play slide which links the upper lawn to the patio doors. In the kitchen, solid oak worktops compliment the doors that the client selected. They also had a special request for oversized grooves to accentuate the cottage style they were aiming for. All Countryman Oak Doors were pre-finished using Doorsan’s standard AC matt lacquer and this will allow the doors to naturally darken and settle into their traditional surroundings. White Ogee style architrave is then used, bringing about an understated aspect. All Contemporary Oak Doors also feature cast iron black handles and matching hinges.
