So the title of this blog post may be a little misleading. If you think you are about to read about altering your doors then you may be disappointed!
I watched a good film the other night and doors featured as a major part of the story so I wanted to write about the film and the connection with doors without giving away the whole story.
The film that I watched was The Adjustment Bureau. This was originally released in 2011 and I remember back then seeing the trailers for the film and thinking this was one that I fancied watching
The main character is David Norris, an up and coming politician who is running for congressman in the United States. David Norris is played by Matt Damon and I did struggle at times to separate the character from his Bourne roles.
A summary of the plot... A team of operatives are following David and one character is positioned to alter the events of the day by spilling coffee on David's shirt. When he fails to fulfil this task, everything seems to alter and David discovers a task force called the Adjustment Bureau whose purpose is to ensure that events follow a path in line with "the plan". There is a romantic story in the film and David fights against the Adjustment Bureau who try to avoid him seeing the girl of his dreams as they want him to follow a political career rather than settle down with her. So, where do the doors come in? Well, the Adjustment Bureau are able to track people by teleporting through doors. As they enter a door from one place, they exit in a new destination. There are various scenes showing characters travelling through doors and there is a large section of the film where David and his girlfriend travel from door to door being eagerly chased by the Adjustment Bureau.
I thought this was a film worth watching and if you fancy checking out some doors for inspiration if you are looking to buy a new door then you have a good excuse to watch it! Otherwise you can check out the Doorsan website www.uniquedoors.co.uk for a wide selection of doors online.
