What influences our design choices for our interiors? This is something that we at Doorsan come upon on a regular basis. Our customers often discuss other details of their home interiors and property appearance when choosing their new wood doors.
I recently investigated trends in floor coverings as our customers often discuss this specific product when choosing timber doors. It appears that hard flooring surfaces sales have increased during 2013 regardless of the general condition of the industry during recent economic challenges.
According to specialists in the flooring industry this is reflected by consumers preference for wood and stone, either natural or un-natural as in say a luxury vinyl. There is also an upsurge in sales of ceramic tiles and other resistant flooring, probably due to consumers choosing long lasting and easy maintenance products which last longer.
The forecasted Trends in 2013 have been for calming influences with gentle, subtle lines. This has been reflected in the door styles we have recently introduced such as the Livorno, Salerno and Rivigo Solid and Glazed. Also pastel shades which are reflected in the Vancouver internal door in light Grey. There has been an impressive range of wooden flooring in soft whites, silvers and greys. I'm not implying that the same door colour as the floors should be chosen but the trends help us to choose complimentary products and give a fresh look which can be adapted to existing and new products.

Trends in Interior design are often influenced by films and this year will be no exception it is expected that the new Great Gatsby film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio will influence interior design as the spirit of the roaring 20's will become an On Trend theme very soon. The Art Deco style with glamour, geometric and curvaceous shaping will open up whole new product focus. If you feel inspired by the 1920's style then we have timber door designs reminiscent of the Art Deco Era.
Take a look at our door ranges such as the custom Shaker, Pesaro in Oak or White options and the Worcester in white or Oak to mention only a few. We have a very extensive range of Art Deco style doors, to view click on Internal Doors to see the full range.
