Dublin is a lovely city with beautiful sights and lots to do for a range of people. Families, couples and groups of friends will find plenty to entertain themselves whilst there. I have had the pleasure of visiting the city once, although I would really like to return. My trip was for work (before my days of doors) and unfortunately there wasn't much time for checking out the local sights.
Dublin is famous for many things, including literary talents, arty markets, Guinness and stunning architecture. There are many historical Georgian streets featuring beautiful Georgian doors. Much of the architecture dates back to the 1700's which was a time of growing wealth and around that time, Dublin became the second largest city in the British Empire (after London).
In the 1970's there was a famous advertising campaign launched in the United States to promote the city of Dublin as a tourist destination. The campaign featured a poster called The Doors of Dublin which was a collage made up of a number of beautiful doors, in different colours, from around the city. The main picture has become well known and the original, along with various similar versions, are widely available to buy as a memento of the city. Complementing the beautiful Georgian squares, there are a number of parks and gardens that are well worth a visit.
If you wish to adorn your home with a beautiful Georgian style door then you will find a stunning example within the Doorsan exterior doors collection. The Heritage No. 17 is a stylish Custom Made Door available in bespoke sizes. Manufactured in the UK, the Heritage Number 17 Door is supplied pre-primed so you can replicate one of many of Dublin's famous doors and paint it in the colour of your choice.
