Over the last couple of weeks we have all been eagerly watching the tennis and as one of the top conversations in the Doorsan office, we have been discussing the possibility that Murray might finally bring home the trophy for Britain.
With each win in the earlier rounds, we raised our hopes a little more and eventually Murray reached the final to face world number one Novak Djokovic. Amazingly, Murray beat Djokovic in three straight sets - a fantastic game.
Andy Murray seemed somewhat overwhelmed with the win and it was clearly an emotional moment for him. He thanked his team and family and he must have been relieved as well as delighted to win, following a huge amount of pressure from the media. Murray is just 26 years old so he still has potential for a great future ahead of him and we all hope that winning Wimbledon will give him a major confidence boost.
It has been 77 years since a British man won Wimbledon and even though we were split into the office as to whether it was possible, we are all delighted that he did. In fact, the Wimbledon win along with the sunny weather has brought a very happy atmosphere in the office this week.
