It’s that time of year again and we’ve just celebrated Father’s Day. I always struggle to decide what to buy as present for my father, my father in law and my daughter’s father.
There is a wide selection of presents related to golf and football that are not really relevant for any of these men and I have bought a variety of sports T-shirts and clothing over the years. More recently I tend to end up in the garden centre and browse for a long time before buying a plant or some kind of equipment that they may or may not use. As I am getting older (and they are too) I am increasingly buying presents of a more practical nature.
So, here’s a novel idea... How about the gift of a door for Father’s Day or for any occasion for that matter? This may sound a little unusual however we had a customer in the Doorsan showroom last week who was looking for exactly that. She knew her father wanted a new front door and she had come prepared with measurements and a photo of her father’s house to help choose a quality front door that would complement his traditional family home.
We spent some time with the customer and all added our own opinions about our preferences from our collection of external door designs. We looked at a variety of doors in brochures and on our website and we looked at our own selection of doors in the showroom. The lady felt that her father would prefer a hardwood glazed door. Eventually she opted for the Hardwood Derby Elegant Tri-Glazed door. She liked this elegant geometric design and felt that this would be a fitting finish to her father’s home.
She promised to let us know how her father reacted, so we look forward to hearing from her, however she was sure he would be delighted with the surprise gift of a door.
