You may think that door handles are practical items, simply a way to open and close doors, however door handles are a key finishing touch and allow you to add a little style to your rooms. Typically a house will have around 9 internal doors so this means you’ll need around 18 door handles (normally door handles are sold as pairs).
Choosing Door Handles, Locks and Latches
Typically you will require locks on bathroom doors and you may want one for the master bedroom or for other bedrooms for example if you have a teenager son or daughter demanding privacy.
You can choose the style of lock – latch or lock. You can see the full collection of Kershaws locks and latches onlinend you can always call our friendly customer services team if you would like to ask any questions (Freephone 0845 467 1910 or Local 01274 604 488).
Typically metal, brass or stainless steel are the most popular door handles that we sell. The two silver handles featured in this post are satin nickel and polished chrome handles.
We also have a black antique door handle which is the perfect decoration for an ornate traditional period house or cottage (the Fleur De Lys shown below).
Styles of Door Handles and Door Knobs
Most people want consistent handles throughout their home however you may consider a special feature handle for a specific room.
You may be a fan of the traditional bulb door knob or the more modern handle (curved or angular, ornate or simple).
See the 4 images featured within this post for my favourite styles of door handles within the Doorsan collection.
