At Doorsan we like to monitor trends in internal wooden doors and we know that many customers like to keep up to date with the latest designs of doors. Often customers call and ask what are the latest designs in interior doors? So here we'll share what we are seeing from our side...
We always recommend that you choose doors for your home in line with your own style of home and your personal preference, but there are notable trends in which type of interior doors are popular at any one time and we know a lot of people say they are looking for contemporary doors.
Classic Internal Door Style
The classic 4 or 6 panelled solid door is a timeless classic and eternally popular for new and traditional styled homes. This is a versatile solid design and available in a range of timbers and size options.
If you're looking for a versatile standard door then this style of door will fit the bill.

Choice of Timber for Doors
Oak has been the most popular timber for doors and furniture for the last few years with most people we see wanting oak interior doors. However we are noticing a growing interest in walnut doors and there are some lovely contemporary walnut doors available.
Tokyo Walnut Doors
See our Tokyo range for some exclusive new walnut doors that we offer.
The doors within this collection feature polished chrome inlays to both sides. Add a modern chrome handle for a contemporary look.
Our Tokyo collection includes a range of options including French doors (door pairs), room dividers and multiple sets which incorporate sidelights to create an impressive entrance.

Glazed Doors
Increasingly we find that customers are asking for glazed versions of internal doors to maximise light levels and an obscure glass panel allows you to maintain privacy while boosting the light levels.
Glass panels range from simple clear glass to extravagant highly patterned glazed designs and the panels may be large or small. Because glazing increases light they can help to give the appearance of a larger area where space is limited.
Commonly customers will combine complementary versions of doors with glazed and non-glazed (solid) versions of the same style of door. On our website we display glazed door designs below their solid counterparts as Related Items so you can be sure you are combining complementary items.
Customers are frequently looking for more modern and contemporary styles of doors for their homes. These tend to be minimalistic timber door styles with limited design.

Unique Statement Door Designs
When people are choosing their own doors (rather than developers choosing for others) they often wish to make a statement and choose characteristic doors.
This may include curved designs, elaborate grooves or decorative glass. The photo on the right features a new model in the Doorsan collection. The modern Pesaro Oak Door features stylish curved grooves and is one of a few new styles of oak internal doors that people are ordering. The Pesaro is available in solid timber as shown or glazed with a large obscured glass panel in the centre.
Traditional Doors
For a good solid traditional country style door, the stable door remains a popular choice.
Our Countryman door is a common choice for modern interiors in traditional style properties like cottages and barns. The photo on the left features the Countryman which is an oak interior door.
This door is available in a wide range of sizes so it is good for people seeking a non standard sized door and there are also 3 sizes of fire doors available.
